Attendance for all rehearsals and performances are mandatory. Performances include Friday night games, Saturday competitions, pep-rallies, parades, and any additional events listed on the band calendar. Being absent from school does not excuse missing an after-school rehearsal. Please communicate absences through written documentation, email, and/or phone message. The band hall phone # is: 903-262-2679. Absences must be communicated with a band director before the absence occurs. Written documentation, email, and/or phone message must be given in advance of the scheduled rehearsal. Failure to do so will result in an unexcused absence. Documentation received after the absence will not be accepted and will be considered unexcused. One or more unexcused absences will result in reassignment of a drill spot. Having several unexcused absences may result in removal from the band program. This will be at the discretion of the directors. |

This years discount cards are currently being printed. We will be "kicking off" this fundraiser the week of September 7-10. If you would like to check out the card and discounts that will be offered, check under the band support/fundraising page. |

Football Game Transportation |

For home games, it is expected that all students will travel to and from the stadium on school buses with the group. Please do not ask to drive to or from the stadium in your own or parents vehicles. For away games, students have the option of being picked up by their parents at the stadium. If you would like to pick your child up from one of the away games, please send an email in advance to a director. When you pick your child up after the game, please check in face to face with your child's bus chaperon. Once he or she is checked you are free to go. Please make sure that you either take your instrument and uniform or designate another student riding back on the bus to take care of them when getting back to REL. We understand that most football games and/or marching contests end late. Although it is a late pick up time for parents, it is expected for ALL students to be picked up promptly. Students who wait late for a ride require a staff member to wait with them. Directors are eager to go home too!!! Itineraries that we produce before hand are usually very close to true arrival times. Encourage your child to call 30 minutes prior to return time in order to better gauge pick times. Students must be picked up no later than 30 minutes after our arrival time.
